San Francisco - Kyte.tv, a provider of user-generated interactive TV channels for Internet and mobile platforms, announced on Tuesday that it has received an undisclosed investment from Nokia Growth Partners, a unit of the Finland-based mobile phone maker.

San Francisco-based Kyte.tv allows users to create interactive TV channels populated with their own video content, which may be broadcast to any website, blog, social network or mobile phone. Interactive features include chatting and voting.

The investment from Nokia, which follows recent commitments from Swisscom and Holtzbrinck Ventures, will allow the company to extend the distribution of its Kyte.tv service.
