Interactive Web Video Firm PermissionTV Lands $9 Million

Waltham, Mass. - PermissionTV, a provider of interactive Internet video technology, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $9 million in a new round of funding, co-led by Castile Ventures and Point Judith Capital.

Previous investors Common Angels, CramerOnline, Inflection Point Investors, the Massachusetts Technology Development Corp., SAS Investors and the Venture Capital Fund of New England also participated.

Massachusetts-based PermissionTV provides interactive video technology used to create branded Internet TV channels for customers including Adobe Systems, Agency.com, Fox's myNetworkTV, Toyota Scion and Update Hollywood.

The company will use the new funds to expand its sales team and for product development.
