XM, Sirius Highlight Public Support for Merger in Ad Campaign

Washington - Days after the opening of the FCC's public comment period for the proposed merger of satellite radio providers XM and Sirius, the companies on Wednesday published ads in DC-area publications highlighting support of the deal from several consumer groups. Organizations that have voiced their support to the FCC include the League of Rural Voters; National Consumers League; National Black Chamber of Commerce; Hispanic Federation; The Latino Coalition League of United Latin American Citizens; New York State Federation of Hispanic Chambers of Commerce; and Women Involved in Farm Economics.
