DG FastChannel to Buy Ad Services Firm GTN for $11.5 Million

Dallas - DG FastChannel, a provider of digital media services to the advertising, entertainment and broadcast industries, announced on Thursday that it will acquire GTN, a provider of advertising media services, for $11.5 million in cash.

Founded in 1952, Michigan-based GTN provides ad content creation, management and distribution services to clients including top automotive advertisers. The company generated revenue of $15.8 million in 2006.

Dallas-based DG FastChannel said GTN's ad distribution operations will complement its core operations, and expects the transaction to be accretive to its bottom line.

The company added that it plans to divest GTN's non-core production and post-production assets and operations.
