Online Video Editor Community StudioNow Raises $1.5 Million

Nashville, Tenn. - StudioNow, a provider of online video-editing services, announced that it has raised $1.5 million in initial financing, led by Claritas Capital with participation from Envoy founders Fred Goad and Jim Kever.

Founded in January, Nashville-based StudioNow launched a beta version of its service in March, which comprises a community of freelance video and movie editors and directors available for hire by individuals and small businesses.

The company will use the funds to enhance its marketing, sales and operations.
