Online Game Publisher K2 Network Raises $16 Million

Irvine, Calif. - Online game publisher K2 Network announced on Monday that it has closed a $16 million second round of venture capital, led by Intel Capital.

New investors Greycroft Partners, Khosla Ventures and Novel TMT Ventures, and previous investors BV Capital and mvp Capital also participated.

Founded in 2001, Irvine, Calif.-based K2 Network operates online games including "War Rock," "Knight Online" and "Global MU Online," and claims 10 million registered users across 100 countries.

The company will use the funds for product development and marketing.
