Corvallis, Ore. - MyStrands, a developer of social recommendation technology, announced on Monday that it has raised $25 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by Grupo Zeta CEO Antonio Asensio.

Previous investors Debaeque and Sequel also participated.

Founded in 2003, Oregon-based MyStrands has developed an engine that provides real-time, personalized recommendations of products and services to computers, mobile phones and other Internet-connected devices.

Currently, MyStrands provides a music recommendation tool, similar to Last.fm, that monitors a user's listening habits in iTunes and recommends songs based on a listener's tastes.
