New York - AOL and Time Warner's celebrity gossip blog TMZ.com has received a takedown notice from a trustee overseeing the bankruptcy case of O.J. Simpson, after the website yesterday published a link to the notorious unpublished manuscript "If I Did It," Wired News reported.

Only snippets of the manuscript -- including a surreal segment where Simpson describes killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson -- remain on TMZ.com.

The trustee is also seeking to compel TMZ.com to disclose where it obtained the manuscript, which was originally set to be published by Reagan Books, but later cancelled after a public outcry and subsequent public apology from News Corp. head Rupert Murdoch.

The trustee also alleges that TMZ.com and its corporate parents have damaged the Goldman family and others, by diminishing the value of the potential sale of the manuscript to another publisher.
