New York - British Telecom (BT) and New Venture Partners said on Thursday that Real Time Content, a developer of a platform that customizes video and audio to match individual preferences and deliver personalized ads, has been added to BT's incubation program.

BT and New Venture Partners declined to disclose the amount of backing they have supplied to U.K.-based Real Time Content, which has been developing its technology for the past six years.

"Currently websites simply 'play' media, but through this innovative platform content can be adapted dynamically to best suit individual preferences, enhancing the customer's overall experience," Matt Bross, Group CTO at BT.

Real Time Content said its platform is now live and being "piloted by a number of global brands."
