Albany, N.Y. - State legislators in New York have reached agreement on a bill that would ban the sale of violent video games to minors in the state, and are expected to formally pass the bill next month, GamePolitics.com reported.
New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer is then expected to sign the bill into law.
Over the past seven years, nine similar laws have been consistently struck down by the courts as unconstitutional, after challenges mounted by the game industry's Entertainment Software Association trade group.
