Seattle - Broadband video application service provider thePlatform announced on Wednesday that BBC Global News will use its media management and publishing system to distribute short-form video content to YouTube. BBC Global News plans to publish up to 30 news clips per day on a dedicated YouTube channel. Seattle-based thePlatform was also tapped to power the forthcoming joint venture online video service from News Corp. and NBC Universal.
