Los Angeles - U.S. consumers purchased about 525,000 of Apple's iPhone device between Friday and Sunday, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry.
A Piper Jaffray analyst also estimated early sales to be about 500,000, CNET News.com reported.
AT&T spokesman Mark Siegel additionally confirmed for the Times that a "small percentage" of customers were having problems activating the device on AT&T's mobile network.
