Emergent Game Technologies Raises $12 Million, Names President

Calabasas, Calif. - Emergent Game Technologies, a provider of video game development technologies, has raised $12 million in its fourth round of funding, co-led by Jerusalem Venture Partners and Worldview Technology Partners.

Adena Ventures, Walker Ventures, Copan and Cisco Systems also participated.

Calabasas, Calif.-based Emergent's tools for game developers include the Gamebryo engine, which has been used to create over 200 titles for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC.

In conjunction with the funding, the company said it has named former Mobility Entertainment CEO Scott Johnson as president.
