Dulles, Va. - In a bid to compete more effectively with Google's YouTube, AOL said that it has launched a new version of its video portal, featuring a number of enhancements that the company said should make it easier of users to find, watch and share more than 20 million videos from across the Web. The site includes a redesigned main page, an upgraded search tool and an embedded playback tool that lets users find and watch videos from other video sites without leaving the AOL site. The company said that traffic to its AOL Video portal has grown by 300% over the past nine months to about 8 million unique visitors a month.
