Los Angeles - RockinCat, a music video site set to launch next week that was created by Slim Jim Phantom, drummer for The Stray Cats, has raised an undisclosed sum of seed funding from "Silicon Valley individuals," VentureBeat reported.

The site will feature music performances produced in a studio on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, which is also home to Phantom's Cat Club venue.

The site's videos will be broadcast using Podtech's video player, with RockinCat to share advertising revenue.
