Buzz Watch: Check Out What Second Life Avatars Would Look Like In First Life

A brilliant promotional video for the ad agency Draftfcb was recently uploaded to YouTube (embedded below). Eric Lavenac created the advertising spot in order to show that the agency is down with the latest tech trends by using their Paris office staff to do a real life interpretation of what Second Life would look if it took place in First Life.

Yes, it is funny, but there is more to it. This video makes it painfully clear that Second Life and all the other virtual worlds out there still have a long way to go to feel anything like a real world experience.
Still, people love them and spend hours and hours online, connecting with other people, investing in virtual real estate and even making out.

I can’t wait to see what virtual worlds will look like in a few years, when the software as well as broadband speeds and computer processing power have improved to the point that Second Life will feel more like First Life. Until then, enjoy this video:
