Atlanta - Digital Envoy, a developer of Internet Protocol (IP) intelligence and geolocation technology, has been acquired by Landmark Communications, a privately held media company that owns newspapers, TV stations and various websites.

Atlanta-based Digital Envoy is the parent company of Digital Element, a provider of IP intelligence for a variety of media and Internet applications, and Digital Resolve, a provider of online fraud and identity theft prevention solutions. The company was founded in 1999.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
