The Director, IT Operations is accountable for managing all aspects of IT operations and telecommunications services, their respective processes, and service quality.

Accountable for managing all aspects of IT ops. and telecommunications services, their respective processes, and service quality. Establishes and manages a best practices approach to facilitate the delivery of high quality IT services that leverages concepts such as those specified in the IT Infrastructure Library framework. Designs and executes processes in the following areas: service support; service delivery; sponsorship of infrastructure and service improvement projects and research activities; security management; information and communications technology infrastructure management; operations and assets management.

Designs services and establishes associated service levels; recommends business and IT-internal metrics; recommends improvement in delivery processes and infrastructure; driven with a passion for improving service quality and reducing the delivery cost for users in a demanding broadcast environment around the world who require 24/7/365 services. Eliminates single points of failure in infrastructure; develops backup expertise in a methodical and deliberate manner; integrates services and break-down silos between areas of expertise; accountable for managing and monitoring physical resources that are required for IT service delivery including storage, processing power, network capacity, electrical power and power distribution, air conditioning, and capacity planning across all of these dimensions.

Bachelor’s required. Master’s or MBA pref.. 10 years exp. w/ proven leadership and in the following areas: managing and supervising technical employees; managing the delivery of technical services including service desk, systems administration, network administration, and telecommunications in a mission-critical, multi-platform environment; production control, change management, configuration management; project management; and IT security management. Substantial experience with ITIL standards and disciplines in a competent IT organization; proficiency with Microsoft, Apple, and open systems infrastructure and end-user technologies including operating systems, installation, configuration, and management required.
