Seattle - Fisher Communications, a Seattle-based company that owns 19 TV and eight radio stations in the Pacific Northwest, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Pegasus News, the provider of an online, hyper-local news service.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Launched in 2006, Dallas-based Pegasus News features a small editorial team and provides local news and advertising for the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area.

The company also developed The Daily You, an automatically personalized news service.

Fisher pans to take Pegasus's news, information and advertising model to additional U.S. markets in the coming year.
