Person-Finder Search Engine PeekYou.com Emerges from StealthAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on July 18, 2007 - 3:56pm.
New York - PeekYou.com, a new search engine dedicated to finding people online, said that it has officially launched a beta version of its site. The company, which has been in stealth mode since October and is backed by Duggal Dimensions, said that it already has built profiles for more than 50 million users. Created by RateMyFace.com, RateMyTeachers.com and RateMyProfessors.com founder Michael Hussey, PeekYou aims to be an open source directory of every individual online. The site allows users to edit, add or remove information, links, photos and tags associated with their profile or other user profiles, as well as to be "unlisted." It also boasts human-created search engine results, reducing nonspecific and incorrect matches.
