Report: 81 Million Americans Watching Broadband Video

Alexandria, Va. - The number of Americans who watch broadband video at home or work has grown to 81 million, or 63% of the total U.S. broadband audience, according to a study conducted by The Nielsen Company for The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM).

The number represents a 16% increase in just the past six months, from 70 million in September 2006.

The report also found that online video viewing was show to add to TV viewing more often than not, as 33% said watching videos over broadband Internet increased their television viewing time, while 13% said it decreased their TV time.
