Universal Music Group is seeking a Director, Program Management for the Universal City, CA office.

This position reports to the Vice President RMS and will be responsible for establishing, driving and implementing RMS / R2 projects in all territories around the world. Key functions of the role will include developing and implementing a global communication plan, managing a global implementation plan, as well as working directly with the North America and International business units to support the RMS/R2 implementation.

Ideally the successful candidate will have previous exposure to working with different business departments and have an understanding of the challenges faced with the reengineering of business processes to support the future RMS/R2 strategy while managing local expectations. The candidate will have a proven track record in business relationships and an ability to grow and develop partnership relations. Furthermore the candidate should posses an in-depth knowledge of the music industry and has relevant strategic planning and senior project/risk management skills.

The applicant should be comfortable communicating and liaising with senior Business, IT and Finance Management and have experience in maintaining relationships. This position will be located in Los Angeles with international travel.

Responsibilities:

• Director, Program Management with hands-on support to complete all RMS / R2 program phases working with the implementation partner
• Develop and maintain relationships with all regional business and financial management to support the RMS / R2 program
• Provide single point of contact/interface for regional management to the RMS / R2 program
• Support the RMS / R2 regional project management staff during the implementation phases
• Assist the RMS / R2 business team develop and promote standard procedures as required, develop strategies to achieve and/or exceed these goals
• Develop and maintain RMS / R2 Communication and Project Management Plans
• Monitoring RMS / R2 progress and report back to the operating and steering committees
• Work with the other IT departments to ensure there are no conflicts on other system such as Mobile, Digital and GDRS/CPRS

Requirements:
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
• Excellent communication verbal and written skills
• Strong planning and working in a virtual team environment and the ability to motivate staff
• Strong business development, organizational, presentation skills and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of label copy systems and professional music business markets
• Ability to assess risk and determine the mitigation strategies, contingency plans or business continuity plans
• General technical aptitude and understanding application development life cycles
• 5 years experience in business relations related areas
• 5 years project management experience
• Experience in a large corporate environment
• Music industry experience a plus
• Finance experience a plus
• Experience in a international project a plus
