Harry Fox Agency Signs New Digital Licensing Deals

Authored by Mark Hefflinger on July 19, 2007 - 3:25pm.

New York - The Harry Fox Agency (HFA), which represents about 35,000 U.S. music publishers, said recently that it has signed new licensing deals with ringtone distributor Bullroarer, digital music store MySongStore, and the band Gov't Mule's live concert download service. MySongStore artists will now be able to sell downloads of cover songs, while Gov't Mule's site -- which has sold over one million downloads of live song performances -- will use HFA's Express Live mechanical licensing service to clear cover songs the band plays in concert.
