San Francisco - VodPod, a service that lets users collect and organize videos from more than 1,000 video-sharing sites, has raised an undisclosed sum in its first round of venture capital financing from True Ventures, PaidContent.org reported.
Launched in June 2006, San Francisco-based VodPod now counts over 50,000 registered members, who collect online videos and can then embed a player featuring the assorted videos on their websites, blogs or social network profiles.
The company was founded by Mark Hall, formerly vice president of international at RealNetworks.
