New York - Former Columbia Records president Steve Greenberg on Monday announced the relaunch of his independent record label, S-Curve Records, which will now include music publishing, artist management and complete digital services.

The label announced that its initial signings are Tom Jones and pop-rock band We The Kings, who will release their debut album in October.

S-Curve expects to soon announce a distribution deal. The company also announced an equity investment in Nabbr, a creator of dynamic viral video players for various artists; Greenberg also serves as chairman of Nabbr.

Greenberg first left the major label business to found S-Curve in 2000; the label's other releases include Baha Men's "Who Let the Dogs Out," and records from Joss Stone and Fountains of Wayne.

"I have been inspired by Internet companies that build what they need today and expand as they go," Greenberg told Variety. "Today we need A&R and marketing, and that's where we're starting. I have seen too many record companies build up their staffs before they had any work to do."
