Santa Monica, Calif. - Transpera, a developer of mobile video technology, announced on Tuesday that it has raised an undisclosed sum in its first round of venture capital financing, from First Round Capital, IDG Ventures and Intel Capital.
Santa Monica, Calif.-based Transpera enables businesses to offer mobile video offerings that let users create their own channels, watch online videos on their phones, post video from their phones directly on the Web, and share video with friends and family.
The company is led by Frank Barbieri, who used to head the Windows Mobile media device and services group at Microsoft.
