Atlanta - EarthLink announced that it will invest up to $100 million of additional funds in its wireless voice and data services joint venture, Helio. Korea's SK Telecom, EarthLink's partner in the company, will invest an equal amount, the company said. Both companies have approved immediate investments of $30 million each in the joint venture. Helio launched its service in May 2006, targeting the youth market with its advanced multimedia services, and features like direct access to MySpace on its devices. The company leases most of its network capacity from Sprint Nextel.
