San Francisco - Curse Inc., a gaming portal dedicated to massively multiplayer online games, announced on Thursday that it has raised $5 million in its first round of venture capital financing, from AGF Private Equity and angel investors.

Founded in 2005, San Francisco-based Curse offers features such as video and screenshot sharing, wikis, databases, add-on downloads, social bookmarking and guild website hosting for players of online multiplayer games.

The company previously raised $800,000 in December 2006.
