Reston, Va. - iCrossing, an Arizona-based digital marketing firm, said on Monday that it has acquired Web development agency Proxicom for an undisclosed sum.

The news comes just a week after iCrossing raised $62 million in a new funding round co-led by Goldman Sachs and Oak Investment Partners.

The deal creates a major player in the digital marketing industry, with more than $100 million in combined annual revenue and 550 employees in 12 offices.

Founded in 1991, Reston, Va.-based Proxicom has created websites for companies such as Toyota, Chevron, Dupont and Epson.

Proxicom will retain its brand and be led by Blue Van Dyke, its COO.

Proxicom, which was founded by local entrepreneur Raul Fernandez, went public in 1999 and was later sold to Dimension Data for nearly $450 million.
