Cupertino, Calif. - Apple announced on Tuesday that it has now sold more than three billion songs from its iTunes Store, whose catalog now includes over five million songs.
"We'd like to thank all of our customers who have contributed to this incredible milestone," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of iTunes.
The iTunes Store recently surpassed Amazon and Target to become the third-largest music retailer in the U.S., according to NPD Group data.
