Atlanta - Embassy Multimedia Consultants, an Atlanta-based division of MasterWorx Gaming that provides consulting, brand development, marketing support and strategic advice to game developers, publishers, retailers and distributors, has been acquired by DigitalTrends.com, an Oregon-based, online publisher of consumer electronics and technology news and reviews.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

MasterWorx is a venture capital fund focused exclusively on independent interactive entertainment businesses.

With the acquisition of Embassy, plans for expansion are already underway, DigitalTrends.com announced on Tuesday, with a new office opening in Atlanta this fall, and several "high-profile announcements" planned before year-end, the company said.
