Muze to Power Mobile Music Service for O2 GermanyAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on July 31, 2007 - 3:44pm.
New York - Muze, a provider of informational databases on music, movies, books and games, on Tuesday announced that its Open Media Exchange platform will be used to power a new subscription-based mobile music service for wireless carrier O2 Germany. Users can download directly over-the-air, or first to a PC and then transfer tracks to their phones. The service supports progressive playback, meaning consumers can listen to a song while it's being downloaded. Muze and O2 also partnered with MTV to offer MTV's Top Ten tracks of the week for dual-delivery download to PCs and mobile devices.
