Assistant General Counsel - CBS Television Network - New York, NY

CBS is looking for an Attorney, who will be based in New York and who will work primarily on matters for the company’s rapidly expanding interactive business.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
• Structure, draft, and negotiate new media and technology agreements, involving rights acquisition, licensing of content, promotion, e-commerce and merchandise, distribution, media sales, marketing, technology/software licensing, software distribution, product development and technology/service outsourcing.
• Draft and supervise implementation of customer agreements, including, terms of service, privacy policies, acceptable use policies, end user license agreements and official rules for contests and sweepstakes.
• Review advertising copy, disclosures, and marketing and promotional materials.
• Advise management on legal issues and risks, approval processes, and company policies and procedures.
• Work on improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• In-depth experience in contract law, with broad transactional background in new media and technology related agreements.
• 5-10 years relevant experience and demonstrated success
• Excellent interpersonal skills, dynamic and highly team-oriented.
• Significant experience in intellectual property matters, and marketing and advertising initiatives.
• Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking.
• Superior work ethic, well organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters.
• Superior writing and oral communication skills.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• JD from top law school, excellent academic credentials.

I would like inquire if the old Mickey Spillane TV shows during 1983-1987 are available for viewing in any format. Is it possible they may be released since Sony Pictures released Murder Me Murder you/More than Murder on DVD. Thank you, Michael Muhar
