Telegent Systems, a provider of single-chip solutions enabling free-to-air and pay-per-view mobile TV in cellular phones and portable media devices, recently appointed Stephen Zadig as vice president of global operations.  A seasoned semiconductor executive, Zadig joins Telegent Systems with more than thirty years of operations management experience.

Starz Entertainment LLC announced the promotion of Steve Waldo Belgard to senior director of entertainment publicity. He works out of the corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colo., and reports to Chelsye Burrows, vice president, programming publicity.  Belgard is responsible for boosting media and public awareness of Starz Entertainment's original and on air programming.

Virtual Heroes Inc., an advanced learning technologies company, today announced the hiring of Takayoshi Sato as director of visual development. Sato brings more than 10 years of international experience working in commercial visual arts and the video game industry, including knowledge of the entire game production cycle gained from developing four commercially released AAA games and leading large development teams in Japan and the United States. Most recently, Sato was a producer with Electronic Arts (EA) in Los Angeles.

Officials with Eagle Broadband, Inc., a national provider of broadband, Internet protocol (IP), and digital communications technology and services, announced today that Dave Micek has stepped aside as CEO and President of Eagle Broadband. He has also resigned from Eagle’s Board of Directors. Micek will remain with Eagle Broadband in an executive capacity working on a series of acquisition and divestiture opportunities that he has been pursuing for Eagle. This change concluded a series of cost reduction measures which were implemented at Eagle during July, including a 15% staff downsizing, half of which involved reducing overhead functions.

MTV Networks Germany in Berlin has appointed Jurgen Hopfgartner as director digital media G/S/A (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) with immediate effect.  In the newly-created role, Hopfgartner will be responsible for the business and product development of MTVN's online and mobile distribution in the region.

Cornerstone announced today that Chris Atlas will be returning to the Cornerstone team as the Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Brand Properties. Previously, Mr. Atlas held the position of Director of Urban Music at Cornerstone before taking a Sr. Director of Entertainment Marketing position at Amp'd Mobile.

Tiny Prints, a web-based provider of social stationery software and products, on Monday named Mak Azadi as its COO. Azadi most recently held a senior role at Starbucks, and previously managed controllership, process improvement and strategic support for Amazon.com's five US fulfillment centers.
