Director and or VP of Product Management or Product Marketing - Stealth Mode Startup - Palo Alto, CA

We are a stealth VC backed startup that has just received significant financing from some of the most respected VCs in the world. We are redefining the future of the consumer internet and the way end users will experience a wide range of consumer facing brands and services on the web.

We are looking for product marketing and/or product management people at a variety of levels, from executive to contributor.

The ideal candidates will have a significant track record in online consumer services such as consumer portals, instant messaging, interactive applications, social networks, communities, or other group based and highly communicative experiences.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Responsibilities include product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering and business development to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met, and the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Responsibilities:

+ Define the product strategy and roadmap

+ Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification

+ Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities

+ Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples

+ Be an expert with respect to the competition


Required experience and knowledge:

+ Minimum of 5 years experience in product management or product marketing

+ Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Technical background, with experience in web technologies

+ Excellent teamwork skills

+ Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

+ Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
