Fleet, England - Mirics Semiconductor, a developer of chips used to receive TV and radio broadcast signals in mobile devices, announced that it has raised $12 million in its second round of financing.
Acacia Capital Partners joined the second closing of the round, which was initially led by Intel Capital and Pond Ventures.
Founded in 2004, U.K.-based Mirics develops chips used in mobile phones, notebook computers and other mobile devices to add radio and TV reception.
The company will use the funds to accelerate its product development, expand its engineering team, and extend its commercial and customer support efforts.
