KickApps Corporation enables any web site to quickly and easily add advanced social media functionality to increase audience growth, deepen consumer relationships and create new revenue opportunities. Our enterprise-grade platform is quickly becoming the preferred social media solution for publishers, web developers, and consumers. We are currently in search of two Directors of Sales Engineering: one in New York, and one in LA.
As the Director of Sales Engineering, you will be responsible for addressing the technical diligence that prospective customers will require in evaluating the KickApps platform. You will work closely with the Business Development Team and will liaise with Product Management and Engineering. This position requires successful experience working as a Sales Engineer, preferably with media & entertainment companies as well as content providers, big and small. Responsibilities: • Work with the Business Development Team to address the technical diligence of affiliates/partners • Present the KickApps platform and address customization/integration questions • Drive technical requirements gathering process • Work with strategic partners and convey the value of combined solutions • Drive feedback process to Engineering regarding customer requirements Requirements: • Experience in project management • Experience and passion around current Internet technologies and Web 2.0 trends • Experience with HTML, XML, CSS, Flash • High-level understanding of web services (REST, SOAP), APIs, MySQL¸ RPCs • Familiarity building prototypes and customer demonstrations • Experience in complex sales situations in emerging markets • High level of comfort and experience working with all levels of professionals both internally and externally. • Excellent presentation and written skills • Must be able to work well with Business Development, Marketing and Engineering • Extremely detail oriented, comfortable working independently, extremely well organized, have the technical aptitude to learn new technologies • Candidate must be willing to travel as needed, although not much travel is anticipated • 5 – 10 years as a Sales Engineer/Consultant required KickApps is a vibrant company, determined to provide the premier private-label social networking and user-generated content platform on the Web.
