Product Director - Shockwave - San Francisco, CA

Shockwave.com is one of the leading destinations for casual games and fun on the internet. We are seeking a Product Director to join our team and help grow the Shockwave.com site. This is a full-time position located in San Francisco's Financial District. Shockwave is a wholly owned subsidiary of Viacom Inc. and is a division of MTV Networks.

This is a senior-level yet still extremely hands-on position. The ideal candidate will have direct experience product management experience in a direct-to-consumer online business, analyzing customer needs, and developing and tailoring new projects to suit our users/customers. Quantitative analysis will be essential for success. Familiarity with casual games, especially the leading studios and content, is a major plus. Preferably you acquired your experience working on leading large scale games or online community Web sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop product strategy, roadmap and project requirements for Shockwave.com.
• Own product lifecycle for key consumer online products and overall user experience for the site, including community, multiplayer and ecommerce.
• Understand competitive landscape in the casual game space and develop corresponding strategies and be able to provide informed analysis towards new feature and service development. Revenue and usage goals will be the core metrics of success.
• Partner with marketing to track and report on key business metrics and user behavior patterns to drive product design decisions and support growth of the business.
• Team with production and engineering to drive projects through all phases of product development – from concept to implementation & monetization.
• Work closely with executive and directors to soft manage P&L for businesses as they grow.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 4 years experience in product management, in particular development of online communities.
• Creativity and passion for games and the Web. Experience in the games industry, including video games, online games, online games communities, games editorial, and/or digital distribution is a plus.
• Outstanding communications and leadership skills.
• BS required, MBA is valuable
