Gannett Launches More Than 100 Localized Mobile News Sites

McLean, Va. - Gannett, the publisher of USA Today, said on Friday that it has launched localized mobile news websites in more than 100 markets.

The sites, optimized for small screens, are mobile versions of the company's 84 daily newspapers, 19 broadcast market sites and USA Today.

They will carry local, regional and national display advertising, and will be free to consumers with mobile Internet browsing and data plans.
