Hispanic Online Media Firm Batanga Raises $30 Million

Miami - Batanga, an online media company targeting the Hispanic community, announced on Monday that it has raised $30 million in its third round of venture capital financing, led by Tudor Ventures with participation from existing investor H.I.G. Ventures.

Miami-based Batanga.com claims 4.5 million monthly unique users, and 100,000 myBatanga members as of August.

The site streams over 90 million songs and 10 million videos per month, and hosts more than 5,000 user-generated radio stations.

The company will use the funds to expand its marketing efforts, and further develop its social media products and online content.
