New York
- KickApps, a developer of social networking tools, has raised $11 million in its second round of venture capital financing, PEHub.com reported.

Participants included new investor SoftBank Capital, and previous backers Prism VentureWorks and Spark Capital.

New York-based KickApps offers a hosted platform that lets website publishers deploy user-generated content and social networking functionality on their sites.

The company raised $6 million in its first round of funding last year.

Correction: This story initiallly stated the company had raised $20 million, as reported by PEHub.com. The source has since corrected the amount, saying an SEC filing had included the company's Series A, Series B and some venture debt in the $20 milion figure.
