Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts on Tuesday announced the release of "Madden NFL 08," the latest iteration of its wildly popular football franchise. The franchise, now in its 18th year, was the top selling video game in North America last year, selling more than 7 million copies. This year's version features new player skill icons that identify the strongest players on the field during each play. The game is now available for all major consoles and handheld systems, as well as the PC.
