New York - DietTV.com, a social network for dieters, said on Tuesday that it has raised $2 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by MentorTech Ventures.

Founded in 2006, New York-based DietTV.com recently launched its social network, which offers features such as a Diet Finder and Exercise Finder that helps match users to various plans, and tools that help users track weight loss progress.

"DietTV.com is the first company to unite devotees of every diet and exercise program into a single community. Given the market potential and the innovative tools the company has created, we see this as a win for consumers as well as the company's investors," said Michael Aronson, managing director of MentorTech Ventures.
