TV Place-Shifting Technology Developer Inxstor Raises $1.2 Million

Fife, Scotland - Inxstor, a developer of TV place-shifting technology that lets users access premium home channels from the Internet while on the go, has raised $1.2 million in new funding from Scottish venture firm Braveheart, and the Scottish Co-investment Fund, The Herald reported.

Founded in 2006 as a spin-off from Infinite Data Storage, Fife, Scotland-based Inxstor plans to introduce its product at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.

The company, which will use the funds for product development and expand to its staff, plans to officially launch its product in the first quarter of 2008, and said it has already signed a deal with set-top box maker Pace Micro Technologies.
