Los Angeles - PeopleJam, a social network focused on healthy lifestyles, has raised an undisclosed sum from backers including TiVo CEO Tom Rogers and former AOL Time Warner executive Robert Pittman, Variety reported.

Founded by former HandsOn Mobile executives Robert Tercek and Matt Edelman, Los Angeles-based PeopleJam plans to launch its beta site in September.

The company was founded "to tap the power of the Internet to link individuals who share an interest in human achievement, personal bests and achieving a great life."

The social network will feature a group of over 150 experts and life coaches, and produce original video programming on topics including health and fitness, relationships, finance and careers, creativity and spirituality, that it will offer both on its own site, and syndicate to other sites.
