London - Endemol UK on Monday announced that it has acquired a 25% stake in MoMedia, a developer and distributor of digital entertainment.

Further financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The funds came from a $30 million fund set up by Endemol last year to invest in mobile, broadband, IPTV and video-on-demand.

Founded in 2005, London-based MoMedia develops and aggregates mobile entertainment that is distributed in 35 countries, by partners including Yahoo, AOL, BT Vision, MSN and Vodafone.

Endemol, which created TV shows including "Big Brother" and "Deal Or No Deal," said the deal will further expand its digital content production, and capacity to create new mobile entertainment properties.
