London - Disney's ESPN cable TV sports network said on Tuesday that it has acquired rugby news site Scrum.com, Reuters reported.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1997, Scrum.com claims as many as 500,000 unique monthly visitors during rugby season.

ESPN also owns the TV broadcast rights to the Rugby World Cup, which will be held this fall in France.

The deal follows ESPN's recent acquisition of cricket news site Cricinfo.com.
