Mobile Social Networking Firm Bluepulse Secures $6 Million

San Mateo, Calif. - Bluepulse, a provider of mobile social networking services, said on Tuesday that it has raised $6 million in its first round of funding, from VantagePoint Venture Partners.

The company also said it has relocated its headquarters from Australia to YouTube's former offices in San Mateo, Calif.

Founded in 2002, Bluepulse launched in beta version last December, and said it is now approaching 100 million monthly page views.

The company's network, which gives users multiple means of communication, content sharing and widget functionality, works on most Internet-enabled cell phones.
