Santa Monica, Calif. - Jacked, a developer of interactive TV technology, has raised $6.5 million in its first round of venture capital financing, from Provenance Ventures, Core Capital Partners and Gabriel Venture Partners, PaidContent.org reported.

Santa Monica, Calif.-based Jacked's TVTop platform consists of a series of widgets that can be added to enhance TV viewing.

The company has secured a deal with NBC Sports to operate NBCSports.com Play Action, which will be trialed with Notre Dame during this year's college football season.

That service will include features such as streaming statistics, photos, play-by-play, chat, and links to purchase team gear at Amazon.com.

Jacked will also offer its football dashboard for use with NFL and NCAA football telecasts.

The company was founded by Bryan Biniak, the founder and managing director of Provenance Ventures, and former head of American Greeting Mobile.
