Dulles, Va. - Adding to the capabilities of its expanding advertising network, AOL said that it has completed its acquisition of New York-based Tacoda, a developer of technology that lets advertisers target consumers based on their online behavior.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, though Reuters reported it to be $275 million, citing a person familiar with the situation.

Six-year-old Tacoda, which has about 100 employees, will operate as a subsidiary.

AOL said that the deal, first announced in July, will allow it to extend its targeting capabilities to advertisers and publishers and extend the reach of its third-party display network.
